We're Baaaack

Amelie is no longer a posh British baby, now she's just your standard run of the mill Jersey girl. Nah, there's nothing standard about her! So everyone has been asking how Amelie was on the plane. I still can't believe it when I think back on the day but she was the PERFECT baby. In normal every day life Amelie fusses occasionally, cries when she doesn't get what she wants the second she wants it, but is generally pleasant and happy. I don't know what happened on October 9th but from the moment she woke up until the moment we got to the hotel in New Jersey she did not cry or fuss once! In fact, she was smiley, inquisitive and quiet the whole time. In the morning before we were about to leave for the airport I said to her- if you can hear me please poop right now before we leave. Not two minutes later she pooped! Since she usually only goes once a day I knew we were good for the rest of the trip- and we were! On the plane we were lucky that Jeremy's company had let us get Amelie her own seat so we were able to spread out. We stuck to her normal routine and she slept on the seat in between us. At the end of the plane ride several passengers commented on how quiet she was, and how they didn't even know there was a baby sitting behind them. If she cries every day for the rest of her life that's okay because she earned it after this trip! (well, maybe not EVERY day). The only glitch the whole day was one of our suitcases was lost; the one with the dog leashes in it. So when we landed in Newark and had to get Fred and Ginger we had to do it with no leashes. It was pretty annoying but mostly we were just glad they were safe and sound.
Here are some pictures of Amelie's second month:
