Amelie's Christmas Festivities Part 2
After we got back from California we celebrated Christmas with Jeremy's family at our house. Here are a few photos.

Amelie Swims!
After Christmas we took Amelie to my grandparents house and then on to Palm Springs. While in Palm Springs Amelie had an exciting first- her first swim! She took to the water right away which was great since we have a summer at the beach planned for her!

Amelie's First Christmas
We had a great time in California this year at Christmastime. We spent Christmas eve in LA with my dad, my cousin Robyn and the rest of my dad's family. We then went to Mission Viejo on Christmas day to spend time with my mom's side of the family. Amelie was great on the plane yet again and absolutely loved spending time mesmerized by Robyn's daughters Riley, Katie and Sophie. I can already tell she is going to look up to them and think they are so cool!

Amelie Turns Four Months Old!
Today is Amelie's four month birthday! I wish I could say she was in better spirits but after a blackout last night (an electrical blackout in our town, not a crazy baby drinking binge) and a rough night of sleep Amelie has woken up on the wrong side of the crib today. Hopefully things will get better and maybe I'll put a candle in her bottle tonight!

Amelie Meets Santa
On Saturday Amelie met Santa for the first time. We had many pep talks leading up to the event and I was convinced that because Amelie has always been such an easy baby there would be no way she'd cry on Santa's lap.
Hmm, shows how much I know. So, we stopped torturing her and got in the picture.
Later, when the crowds died down I made her try again. No child of mine is going to fail!
That's more like it!
We went to meet Santa at a Newcomers Club event for our town. We met a lot of really nice families and hopefully will make some local friends. After the brunch we went to a Christmas tree farm where you can cut down your own Christmas trees. We were too late in the season to be able to cut down our own (unless we wanted a tree a la Charlie Brown) so we picked out one that was already cut. It's really beautiful and fresh. This is the first time I haven't gotten my tree from a parking lot, grocery store or out of a box!
